CNC Programmer Aerospace Defense | Catia Mastercam
Overview
You will program multi-axis CNC machines for aerospace and defense components, working with Catia or Mastercam and Vericut. You will design fixtures in CAD and collaborate with machinists on the shop floor. This role demands deep knowledge of exotic materials and GD&T.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design fixtures using Catia or SolidWorks for complex aerospace parts.
- 2Program 4th, 5th, and 6th axis CNC machines with Mastercam or Catia.
- 3Verify toolpaths using Vericut to ensure collision-free machining.
- 4Select cutting tools for Titanium and other exotic materials based on material properties.
- 5Troubleshoot machining issues with operators on the shop floor to improve processes.
- 6Interpret and apply GD&T requirements to machining strategies.
- 7Collaborate with engineering to optimize part producibility and reduce cycle time.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of CNC programming experience with Catia or Mastercam.
- 23+ years working with Titanium and exotic materials.
- 3Proficiency in Vericut is mandatory.
- 4Strong understanding of aerospace GD&T.
- 5Experience with 4th, 5th, and 6th axis machining.
- 6SolidWorks experience is required.
- 7Ability to design fixtures using CAD systems.
