Overview
Own CNC programming and setup for an aerospace shop producing high-precision parts in Mastercam. You will run Haas 5-axis mills and multi-axis lathes, verify quality, and mentor operators. This role pairs technical machining with team leadership in a stable Dallas-area shop.
What You'll Do7
- 1Program and set up Mastercam for Haas 5-axis mills and multi-axis lathes.
- 2Monitor machine output and perform quality checks on parts and materials.
- 3Adjust feeds and speeds for optimal machining of aluminum, steels, plastics, copper, Invar/Kovar, Inconel, and titanium.
- 4Read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents to guide production.
- 5Mentor operators and programmers, sharing best practices for Mastercam and CNC operations.
- 6Solve machining problems as they arise during the shift.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols.
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED required.
- 25+ years of experience using Mastercam for mill and lathe programming.
- 3Set up and operate Haas 5-axis CNC mills and multi-axis lathes.
- 4Solid understanding of feeds and speeds for machining.
- 5Experience with varied metals: aluminum, steels, plastics, copper, Invar/Kovar, Inconel, and titanium.
- 6Read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- 7Strong basic math and mechanical aptitude.
- 8Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
- 9Stand for an 8-hour shift and lift medium to heavy loads.
- 10Pass drug screen and E-Verify background check.
