CNC Machinist 2nd Shift, Mazak Lathe & Mill Operations
Overview
You will operate Mazak vertical machining centers on 2nd shift, producing precision components for centrifugal pumps used in food, dairy, and chemical industries. You will interpret engineering drawings, set up tooling, and run Mazatrol programs to hold tight tolerances. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team of machinists and engineers. What You'll Do6
- 1Interpret engineering drawings and CNC programs to set up Mazak vertical machining centers.
- 2Program and adjust Mazatrol controls to optimize cutting paths and tool offsets.
- 3Inspect machined parts with calipers, micrometers, and CMM to ensure tolerance compliance.
- 4Maximize machine uptime by cleaning, deburring, and staging parts while the cycle runs.
- 5Report quantity and quality issues to management to maintain production flow.
- 6Assist machine shop team with additional projects as needed to meet deadlines.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of CNC machining experience preferred, or trade school plus 1 year.
- 2Experience on Mazak mills and Mazatrol programming is helpful.
- 3Knowledge of CMM and inspection equipment is preferred.
- 4Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.
- 5Willingness to train the right candidate with basic CNC skills.
- 6Must lift 50 lbs and stand 8-10 hours per shift.
