CNC Machine Operator III (2nd Shift)
Overview
Lead production of machined parts on CNC lathe or milling machines at Klein Tools. Work 2nd shift 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM EDT with initial 1st shift training. Earn competitive sign‑on bonus.
What You'll Do9
- 1Operate drill presses manual milling machines CNC milling machines manual lathes and CNC lathes
- 2Perform complex set‑up of CNC machines loading programs installing chucks cutting tools and attachments
- 3Make program adjustments load and unload raw materials verify settings measure positions first‑run parts and sample workpieces
- 4Inspect and measure finished products using calipers gauges micrometers and other hand tools compare to drawing specifications
- 5Maintain specifications through drilling grooving cutting turning facing knurling and thread chasing
- 6Document and communicate shift continuity irregularities and ongoing needs
- 7Keep work area clean and orderly following 5S standards
- 8Maintain safe work environment preventing injuries by following OSHA and EPA rules implement safeguards
- 9Perform other duties as required within nature and level of work
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or equivalent five years operating and programming CNC Mills or Lathes
- 2Seven years experience preferred
- 3Ability to read basic English
- 4Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry
- 5Physical ability to stand walk sit use hands handle tools and maintain tolerance
- 6Occasional lifting up to 35 pounds
- 7Specific vision abilities close distance color peripheral depth focus adjustment
