CNC Machine Operator, Set Up & Milling
Overview
You will own the setup and operation of CNC milling machines and lathes to produce high-quality components. You will read blueprints and CAD models to determine specifications behind GD&T standards. You will work on a first shift within a close-knit manufacturing team. This role will test your precision and problem-solving skills as you troubleshoot machine issues and maintain production quality.
What You'll Do8
- 1Set up CNC milling and lathe machines for production runs, including installing tooling and workholding fixtures.
- 2Operate CNC machines to machine components within tolerances, using CAD models and blueprints.
- 3Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine dimensions and specifications.
- 4Use precision measuring tools like calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
- 5Conduct quality control checks throughout the machining process to ensure compliance with GD&T standards.
- 6Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot operational issues as they arise.
- 7Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks, materials handling, and fabrication processes.
- 8Follow safety protocols in the manufacturing facility to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of experience operating CNC milling machines or lathes in a manufacturing environment.
- 2Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- 3Experience with CAD models and using them for machining setup and verification.
- 4Strong knowledge of GD&T for precise manufacturing specifications.
- 5Hands-on experience with precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
- 6Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- 7Ability to perform machine setup, tool changes, and routine maintenance.
- 8Availability to work first shift, Monday through Friday.
Salary Insight
