CNC Machine Operator, Manufacturing & Precision Machining
Overview
Operate CNC machines in a high-volume manufacturing cell producing precision components. Set up, run, and maintain CNC equipment including drill presses and engine lathes to hold tight tolerances. Work from blueprints and production orders to complete machining operations. Maintain quality and productivity standards across the shift. This role offers $26-$29/hr with 2nd and 3rd shift options.
What You'll Do8
- 1Set up and run CNC machines from blueprints and work orders, making offset and geometry adjustments.
- 2Operate drill presses and turret lathes for secondary machining operations.
- 3Inspect parts using verniers, micrometers, and ring gauges to verify dimensions.
- 4Load and unload bar stock, cutting material to length and managing scrap.
- 5Clean finished parts and maintain a tidy work area to support flow.
- 6Monitor and adjust CNC programs, troubleshooting basic issues.
- 7Document production output and quality results per shift.
- 8Follow safety and shop procedures while meeting output targets.
Requirements7
- 11-3 years of machine operation experience, including CNC.
- 2High school diploma or GED.
- 3Read blueprints and written procedures.
- 4Basic CNC program reading and editing.
- 5Use verniers, micrometers, ring gauges, plug gauges, and pin gauges for inspection.
- 6Attention to detail and accuracy.
- 7Willing to work overtime and 2nd/3rd shifts.
