What You'll Do11
- 1Set up CNC machines such as CNC milling machines, lathes, and stamping presses using detailed technical drawings and blueprints
- 2Program CNC equipment utilizing CAD Computer-Aided Design CAM Computer-Aided Manufacturing Fanuc controls and other programming software to produce precise parts
- 3Interpret production documents mechanical blueprints GD&T and shop math to ensure accurate machining processes
- 4Operate various industrial tools including press brake machines, stamping presses, and flexo presses while adhering to safety standards in production environments
- 5Conduct dimensional measurements using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and dial gauges to verify part specifications
- 6Troubleshoot machine issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain continuous workflow; perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment
- 7Ensure quality control by inspecting machined parts for accuracy and consistency; document inspection results accurately
- 8Handle materials safely using proper materials handling techniques and operate forklifts when necessary for material movement within the facility
- 9Maintain detailed records of machine operations production logs and inspection reports to support continuous improvement initiatives
- 10Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency
- 11Contribute to ongoing process improvements through data analysis
Requirements11
- 1Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines CNC lathes stamping presses within a manufacturing or factory setting
- 2Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages including Fanuc controls
- 3Experience with CAM programming is highly desirable
- 4Ability to read and interpret blueprints technical drawings mechanical blueprints and manufacturing specifications accurately
- 5Familiarity with CAD software like SolidWorks or similar design tools is a plus
- 6Mechanical aptitude with understanding of shop math GD&T principles and the use of precision measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
- 7Knowledge of safety standards in production environments commitment to maintaining a safe workspace at all times
- 8Prior experience with materials handling equipment like forklifts is preferred
- 9Certification may be required depending on local regulations
- 10Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills
- 11Ability to interpret complex technical documents efficiently
