What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and deliver direct outpatient psychiatric care for USC students up to 32 hours per week including telemedicine and in person clinics
  • 2Lead collaboration with primary care providers, specialists, and campus departments to coordinate high quality mental health care
  • 3Provide supervision to psychiatry residents and contribute to training programs for psychology, social work, family medicine, and psychiatry
  • 4Design and participate in evidence-based clinical programs and weekly multidisciplinary team meetings
  • 5Document timely in compliance with policies and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • 6Support crisis intervention and on call coverage as assigned, including urgent medication issues
  • 7Attend grand rounds and departmental meetings and contribute to campus-wide discussions on student mental health
  • 8Mentor and contribute to ongoing professional development and diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • 9Engage in program evaluation, merit review, and performance evaluations to advance center objectives
  • 10Collaborate on research, policy, and educational activities to advance campus mental health services

Requirements9

  • 1Must be a State of California Licensed Physician and board certified or board eligible psychiatrist
  • 2Experience in short term treatment, stabilization, and crisis intervention
  • 3Multicultural competency working with diverse student populations including students of color, LGBTQIA, international students
  • 4Resilient, self-aware, and capable in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • 5Willingness to participate in hybrid telemedicine and in-person clinics; not a remote position
  • 6Strong clinical and psychopharmacological skills; ability to develop guidelines for student patients
  • 7Commitment to ethical professional practice and lifelong learning
  • 8Preferred: experience with university students, LGBTQIA populations, identity development issues, substance use disorders
  • 9Ability to work within an integrated care approach and contribute to a diverse and inclusive environment
