Civil Engineer, Civil Site Design & Water Resources
Overview
Own site civil design and permitting across a range of public sector projects at scale within a collaborative Baltimore area team. Work with Civil 3D and AutoCAD to develop grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater plans and prepare technical reports. Engage with clients, regulators, and internal engineers through design, permitting, and construction support. This role offers exposure to the full project lifecycle and opportunities to grow in water resources and infrastructure design.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build site civil designs using Civil 3D and AutoCAD for diverse public sector projects
- 2Prepare grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater plans
- 3Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support project design
- 4Assist in preparing construction documents, specifications, and detailed plans
- 5Conduct research and compile technical reports and recommendations
- 6Support preparation of cost estimates and construction estimates
- 7Participate in site visits, field observations, inspections, and data collection
- 8Coordinate with engineers, clients, and regulatory agencies through project development
- 9Assist with permitting and development approval processes
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 22+ years of experience in civil site or land development design
- 3Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD
- 4Experience or exposure to stormwater management, drainage design, and utility infrastructure
- 5Strong communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative project team
- 6Interest in advancing technical expertise within land development, water resources, and infrastructure projects
