Civil Engineer (Water/Wastewater) EBA Engineering
Overview
EBA Engineering seeks a Civil Engineer to lead water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the Mid-Atlantic. You will own design and delivery of critical municipal systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure public health and economic growth.
What You'll Do12
- 1Design engineering solutions for water distribution and wastewater collection systems
- 2Perform calculations for pipelines utility networks grading and drainage
- 3Conduct utility investigations field visits and condition assessments
- 4Coordinate with surveyors geotechnical engineers and permitting agencies
- 5Develop construction plans profiles specifications and technical reports
- 6Prepare cost estimates quantity takeoffs and engineer's opinions of probable construction cost
- 7Support permitting activities with local state and federal agencies
- 8Review shop drawings RFIs submittals and contractor requests during construction
- 9Participate in construction meetings and field inspections
- 10Collaborate with CAD designers to produce quality construction documents
- 11Verify compliance with engineering standards client requirements and quality control procedures
- 12Maintain project schedules and assist with project documentation
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited university
- 23-10 years of experience designing municipal water wastewater or utility infrastructure projects
- 3Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D Bluebeam Revu ArcGIS WaterCAD SewerGEMS and EPANET
- 4Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 6Engineer-in-Training certification or Professional Engineering license obtainable within one year
- 7Experience with WSSC Water Washington Aqueduct DC Water Baltimore City DPW Prince George's County Montgomery County
- 8Experience with water main rehabilitation and replacement sewer rehabilitation and replacement pump stations utility coordination and related municipal infrastructure improvements
- 9Experience with construction administration
- 10Experience with hydraulic modeling
- 11Familiarity with Microsoft Project
