Civil Engineer, Water & Land Development
Overview
You will own the design and supervision of water, wastewater, stormwater, and transportation infrastructure projects from concept through construction. 5+ years of civil engineering experience and AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency are core to this role. You will estimate costs, lead technical staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers significant autonomy and creativity within an employee-owned organization. You will also support business development and mentor junior engineers.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and supervise construction projects for water and wastewater systems, land development, stormwater infrastructure, and transportation facilities.
- 2Estimate project costs and resource needs to support accurate budgeting and planning.
- 3Conduct technical studies and prepare clear, well-structured reports for clients.
- 4Lead assigned projects and provide oversight to engineers, E.I.T.s, drafters, and field personnel.
- 5Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to meet quality, schedule, and budget targets.
- 6Apply creative and professional judgment to develop cost-efficient design solutions.
- 7Support business development by building client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- 8Assist in preparing statements of qualifications and proposals with technical content.
- 9Mentor and develop team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of civil engineering experience in infrastructure design and supervision.
- 2Hands-on experience with water and sewer systems, including collection and distribution.
- 3Strong background in land and site development, including grading and drainage design.
- 4Experience in stormwater design and management.
- 5Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and drafting.
- 6Knowledge of transportation and municipal engineering standards.
- 7Project management skills including task coordination and schedule management.
- 8PE credential or ability and intent to obtain licensure.
- 9Excellent communication and report writing abilities.
Salary Insight
