Overview
certified surgical technologist to join a Gilbert area ambulatory surgery center on-site in Phoenix area. You will support robotics, general, urology, gynecology and breast cases across a cohesive OR team. Expect hands-on instrument management, sterile technique and case turnover in a fast paced perioperative environment. This role emphasizes collaboration with surgeons, nurses and staff to maintain patient safety and exceptional service.
What You'll Do10
- 1Assist with inventory and maintenance of instruments and supplies
- 2Set up and turnover operating rooms for cases
- 3Anticipate surgeon needs and handle instruments during procedures
- 4Maintain sterile technique and instrument sterility throughout procedures
- 5Perform instrument cleaning and sterilization tasks to ensure readiness for cases
- 6Participate in counts, time outs and surgical site identifications
- 7Collaborate with team to uphold center policies and provide a safe environment for patients and staff
- 8Maintain professional relationships with peers and physicians
- 9Support housekeeping tasks as needed to sustain a clean OR environment
- 10Contribute to procedural checks and center policy adherence
Requirements8
- 1Three (3) years of Surgical Technologist experience
- 2Experience in Robotics, General, Urology, GYN and Breast cases
- 3High school graduate or GED
- 4Certification as Surgical Technologist
- 5Current BLS certification
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 7Strong problem solving capabilities
- 8Basic knowledge of AAMI sterilization standards preferred
