Overview
Women`s Svcs-Hosp seeks a Surgical Technologist for the Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Phoenix AZ. This part-time day shift role involves preparing instruments and assisting surgeons while maintaining a supportive environment. Candidates must have prior L&D Surgical Technologist experience and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Select and place surgical instruments and supplies during procedures
- 2Prepare scrubs and provide sterile supplies during operations
- 3Demonstrate aseptic techniques and manage sharps disposal
- 4Ensure surgeon preference cards and pick lists remain accurate
- 5Assist with operating room turnover and supply stocking
- 6Support administrative tasks within the department
- 7Follow safety protocols for medication labeling and specimen handling
- 8Participate in emergency call rotations and maintain professional decorum
- 9Maintain organization and respond quickly to surgeon needs
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with current basic life support certification
- 2Registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable
- 3Minimum 5+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 4Two years of operating room experience preferred
- 5Manual dexterity and ability to handle high-stress situations
- 6Strong communication skills and willingness to teach peers
