What You'll Do8
- 1Prepare for surgical procedures by pulling appropriate instruments and ensuring good working order of instruments
- 2Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments and operating equipment during surgeries
- 3Demonstrate aseptic technique and manage sharps disposal throughout procedures
- 4Ensure accuracy of surgeon preference cards and pick lists
- 5Assist with OR turnover and stock replenishment after cases
- 6Provide administrative support when required
- 7Follow safety procedures for medication labeling and specimen handling
- 8Participate in emergency call rotations and interdisciplinary teamwork
Requirements7
- 1High school diploma or GED with current basic life support certification
- 2Registered with State Regulatory Agency where applicable
- 3Manual dexterity and ability to remain calm under pressure
- 4Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- 5Experience with surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques
- 6Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology preferred
- 73-5 years of clinical experience in surgical technology
