What You'll Do7
- 1Prepare surgical instruments and verify case carts for correct supplies
- 2Anticipate surgeon needs by passing instruments and retracting tissue
- 3Demonstrate aseptic techniques while disposing of sharps and managing counts
- 4Ensure surgeon preference cards and pick lists remain accurate
- 5Assist with OR turnover and supply replenishment between cases
- 6Provide administrative support and participate in staff training
- 7Maintain sterile environment and follow universal precautions
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma or GED with current basic life support certification
- 2Current state registration as required by regulatory agency
- 3Minimum 5+ years of operating room experience or equivalent training
- 4Proven knowledge of surgical instrumentation and aseptic practices
- 5Ability to work full-time day shift Monday Friday with on-call weekend availability
