Bar Back, KUZA Scottsdale & Phoenix FOH
Overview
Own the bar and dining room support in a high-volume Japanese-American restaurant. You will maintain clean, stocked, and ready tables and service areas to enable smooth guest experiences. Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and management to sustain elevated service during peak hours. This role offers hands-on training, growth opportunities, and a path into front-of-house advancement.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and reset tables quickly and accurately after guests depart
- 2Assist servers and food runners with delivering food and beverages when needed
- 3Support pre-bussing to maintain cleanliness and flow throughout service
- 4Refill water, replace silverware, and anticipate guest needs before they ask
- 5Restock plates, glassware, rolls, linens, and utensils throughout the shift
- 6Deep clean assigned sections and complete nightly reset
- 7Follow cleaning procedures and nightly closing checklists
- 8Maintain cleanliness of server stations and back service areas
- 9Help keep walkways and high-traffic areas organized and safe
- 10Provide a professional, polished appearance and teamwork in busy shifts
Requirements5
- 1Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but not required
- 2Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- 3Strong attention to detail and willingness to support the entire FOH team
- 4Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for long periods
- 5Must obtain an Arizona Food Handler Card
