Overview
Automotive mechanics will own undercar repairs and preventive maintenance at a leading tire and repair center. You will diagnose, inspect, and repair vehicle systems with a focus on brakes, suspensions, oil changes, and tire services. What You'll Do10
- 1Build and diagnose vehicle systems including brakes, shocks, and tires to deliver safe, reliable road performance
- 2Inspect and perform state inspections and preventive maintenance for customer vehicles
- 3Change oil and filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts to extend vehicle life
- 4Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires to ensure even wear and optimal handling
- 5Assist customers by explaining repairs and required maintenance to maintain high satisfaction
- 6Maintain cleanliness and organization of work bays and tool inventories
- 7Adhere to safety policies and regulatory requirements during all maintenance activities
- 8Collaborate with teammates to complete service orders accurately and on time
- 9Document repairs and services performed to support warranty and record keeping
- 10Demonstrate commitment to quality service and customer safety at all times
Requirements9
- 1Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- 2Two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3Extensive personal tool box for performing undercar repairs
- 4Preferred state inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair G1, Suspension and Steering A4, and Brakes A5
- 5Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repetitive motions while inspecting and repairing vehicles
- 6Regularly lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- 7Excellent customer service orientation and reliability
- 8Commitment to adhering to safety standards and company policies
- 9Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and ongoing skill development
Salary Insight
