Automotive Mechanic, Tire & Repair at Mavis Tire (Arlington TX)
Overview
Own undercar repairs and inspections for a high-volume tire and service center. You will diagnose and service brakes, struts, shocks, oil changes, and tire work for a broad customer base. What You'll Do10
- 1Build diagnostic plans and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, shocks, and tire mounting balancing
- 2Inspect and complete state inspections and maintenance services
- 3Change oil and filters and check fluids to ensure vehicle reliability
- 4Replace worn parts and ensure proper torque and fastener specs
- 5Dismount mount rotate balance tires and perform wheel work with attention to safety and QC
- 6Adhere to safety protocols and workmanship standards while servicing vehicles
- 7Maintain accurate work orders, document repairs, and communicate findings to customers
- 8Participate in on-the-job training and skill development to expand service capabilities
- 9Assist team with shop processes to improve efficiency and vehicle turnaround times
- 10Ensure tools, parts, and equipment are organized and maintained in good condition
Requirements9
- 1Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States
- 22 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience or equivalent
- 3Extensive personal tools for undercar repairs
- 4Ability to stand walk bend stoop kneel and perform repetitive motions and lift 50 pounds
- 5State inspection license(s) preferred
- 6ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair G1 Suspension and Steering A4 Brakes A5 preferred
- 7Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and quality workmanship
- 8Ability to work in a full-time position at a Mavis/Ntb location
- 9Willingness to participate in ongoing training and career advancement
