Overview
Assembler role owning hands-on assembly of heavy-duty electric trucks at scale on site in Kansas City, KS. Visit engineering drawings, follow quality and safety standards, and collaborate with a production team to meet daily targets. This position emphasizes practical problem solving, physical readiness, and adherence to established procedures. You’ll contribute to building vehicles that power our customers’ operations and gain exposure to automotive manufacturing processes.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and assemble heavy-duty electric trucks following work instructions and drawings to meet quality standards
- 2Inspect finished work, identify defects, and correct issues to reduce rework
- 3Follow all quality and safety procedures while maintaining a clean, organized workspace
- 4Collaborate with teammates to achieve daily production goals and maintain line flow
- 5Document workmanship and communicate status to supervision to support continuous improvement
- 6Operate within first-shift schedule and adapt to safety and training requirements
- 7Utilize basic hand tools and equipment to assemble components and assemblies
- 8Assist with tear-downs and rework as needed to support production needs
- 9Maintain equipment and report maintenance needs or malfunctions
- 10Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines while learning new processes
Requirements9
- 1Previous experience in automotive, electrical assembly, or manufacturing environments such as semi-trucks, heavy equipment, farm equipment, or terminal trucks
- 2Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- 3Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- 4Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs
- 5Good written and verbal communication skills
- 6Positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
- 7Team player with initiative, leadership qualities, and a strong work ethic
- 8Commitment to following company policies and safety procedures
- 9Must be able to complete training on 1st shift
