What You'll Do10
- 1Build and install mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components on heavy machinery from technical drawings
- 2Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate assembly
- 3Use hand tools, torque wrenches, and precision measurement devices to complete assemblies
- 4Perform functional tests and quality inspections to verify specifications
- 5Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems during assembly and resolve issues
- 6Follow safety protocols and lean manufacturing practices to maintain a safe, organized workspace
- 7Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve assembly processes
- 8Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workspace in accordance with lean principles
- 9Support continuous improvement initiatives and respond to production needs
- 10Assist with training and onboarding for new team members
Requirements10
- 1Proven experience as an Assembly Mechanic, Equipment Assembler, or similar role in heavy equipment or industrial manufacturing
- 2Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- 3Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
- 4Proficiency in using hand tools, torque wrenches, and measurement equipment
- 5Basic understanding of welding, machining, or fabrication is a plus
- 6Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 7Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- 8Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Assembly, Industrial Technology, or related field is preferred
- 9Experience with cranes, forklifts, or large industrial machinery is a plus
- 10Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
