Assembler, 2-5 years in manufacturing & Lean, onsite Phoenix
Overview
Own hands-on mechanical assembly in a modern facility on a fast-growing, technology-driven team. You will coach junior assemblers, ensure safety and quality, and support lean manufacturing initiatives. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and implement process improvements. This role offers first or second shift with overtime as needed and a pathway to growth in a hands-on, safety-focused environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build complex mechanical assemblies from engineering drawings and build instructions using hand tools and power tools
- 2Design and maintain high-quality assemblies on an assembly line to meet daily output targets
- 3Debug and resolve fit, alignment, or functional issues through advanced problem solving
- 4Mentor and coach junior assemblers on techniques, safety, and quality expectations
- 5Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and improve efficiency following lean practices
- 6Collaborate with engineers and designers to address manufacturability and process improvements
- 7Document production records and quality checklists for traceability and compliance
- 8Monitor safety practices and maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper tool usage
- 9Coordinate with material teams to ensure inventory supports uninterrupted production
- 10Maintain accurate documentation and report shortages promptly to prevent delays
Requirements10
- 12-5 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles
- 2Experience on an assembly line in a production environment
- 3Strong mechanical assembly skills with ability to assemble subassemblies from complex specifications
- 4Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and SOPs
- 5Proficiency with hand tools and power tools in manufacturing settings
- 6Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for production issues
- 7Knowledge of quality control processes and manufacturing best practices
- 8Ability to train and mentor junior team members
- 9Able to work under time pressure and meet production deadlines without compromising quality
- 10Willingness to work occasional mandatory overtime including some Fridays
