Advancement Associate, Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream
Overview
Own donor stewardship, partnerships, events, and executive support at the Milken Center in Washington DC. You will coordinate fundraising activities, manage engagement records, and support leadership across cross-functional teams. What You'll Do10
- 1Build donor and partner relationships through stewardship activities and timely communications
- 2Design and coordinate tours and meetings for donors and stakeholders to advance engagement goals
- 3Maintain Salesforce and related systems to ensure accurate contact, engagement, and donation tracking
- 4Research backgrounds and biographies to inform fundraising and partnership strategies
- 5Prepare briefing materials, agendas, presentations, and follow-up communications for leadership and external engagements
- 6Coordinate cross-functional efforts to fulfill donor and partner commitments on time
- 7Plan and execute Advancement-related events including invitations, logistics, and on-site support
- 8Track event calendars, RSVPs, and engagement records across departments
- 9Liaise with internal teams to support seamless event execution
- 10Provide administrative and executive support to Advancement leadership and assist with reporting and documentation
Requirements10
- 1Approximately 3–5 years of experience in advancement, fundraising, partnerships, events, or executive support
- 2Experience supporting donor relations, events, or executive administration is preferred
- 3Familiarity with donor management systems such as Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
- 4Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- 5Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- 6Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues and external stakeholders at all levels
- 7Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment with sensitive information
- 8Proactive and flexible approach with strong customer service instincts and attention to detail
- 9Bachelor’s degree required
- 10Willingness to work in-person five days a week in Washington, DC with occasional remote work as needed
