Account Specialist, Construction at Tempe District
Overview
Owns accurate construction project accounting within the district through a computerized system at scale. You’ll partner with facilities and finance teams to ensure state and federal compliance across multiple sites and projects. The role blends bookkeeping, contract administration, and monthly financial reporting in a onsite, 12-month year environment. What makes this role different is direct involvement with district construction workflows and SOP maintenance.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build and maintain accurate project accounting records across multiple sites
- 2Prepare and process contracts, change orders, and RFIs to support project delivery
- 3Allocate, post, and generate financial reports for budget tracking
- 4Process and approve purchase requisitions and track TMAs for compliance
- 5Run monthly reports and maintain schedules, manuals, SOPs, and warranties
Requirements5
- 1High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 22 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferably in construction
- 3State of Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 4Completion of district skills tests
- 5Valid Driver’s License may be required
