Overview

Own the cost accounting lifecycle for large and smaller construction projects within a 100% employee-owned firm. Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure timely and accurate accounting, risk management, and project profitability analytics. Work onsite in Phoenix and contribute to billing, AP, subcontracts, and vendor compliance. This role emphasizes precision, confidentiality, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Build and reconcile monthly project billings per contract requirements
  • 2Analyze project costs vs budget and produce profitability reports
  • 3Process project accounts payable and subcontracts payable
  • 4Manage vendor compliance including insurance, lien waivers, retention and W-9s
  • 5Produce job performance reports and maintain accurate project statuses in COINs
  • 6Assist in status reporting and resolve accounting issues in a timely manner

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience preferred
  • 23-5 years of project accounting experience preferred
  • 3Strong accounting knowledge and high attention to detail
  • 4Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills
  • 5Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
  • 6Confidentiality and discretion with data
  • 7Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • 8Onsite construction project experience preferred
