Construction Bookkeeper, Job Costing & AIA Billing
Overview
You will own full-cycle bookkeeping for construction projects, including job costing, payroll, and progress billings. Supporting a growing team in Goodyear, AZ, you'll work across multiple entities with QuickBooks, AIA billing, and subcontractor compliance. You'll also handle administrative tasks, keeping daily operations smooth. This role offers 3+ years of construction accounting experience, with the chance to grow with the company.
What You'll Do9
- 1Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- 2Perform job costing and maintain precise project financial records across all active projects.
- 3Process payroll and subcontractor payments, including lien waivers and compliance documentation.
- 4Prepare and submit progress billings, including AIA billing, with deadlines.
- 5Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts monthly.
- 6Generate monthly financial reports and assist with budget tracking for project managers.
- 7Provide financial support to project managers and leadership for decision-making.
- 8Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for contracts and compliance.
- 9Coordinate communication between office and field teams, supporting daily operations.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of bookkeeping experience in the construction industry.
- 2Strong understanding of job costing and construction accounting practices.
- 3Experience with AIA billing and subcontractor management preferred.
- 4Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) or similar accounting software.
- 5Experience with service management programs a plus.
- 6Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- 7High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- 8Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines independently.
Salary Insight
