Youth Program Manager, Nonprofit Sports Programs & Community Outreach
Overview
Youth programs leadership role overseeing multiple locations and staff to grow community-based sports initiatives across Southern California. You will partner with Site Directors, Clinicians, Coaches, schools, and community organizations to ensure consistent, high-quality programming. This role blends program management, recreation, and nonprofit operations with a mission-driven team. You will help scale impact while maintaining strong client and partner relationships.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and support Program Coordinators across locations to ensure aligned program delivery
- 2Lead Site Directors, Clinicians, Coaches, and staff to maintain quality and consistency across sites
- 3Recruit onboard and support volunteer Site Directors and Coaches to sustain program growth
- 4Hire and coordinate Clinicians and instructors and ensure compliance with operational requirements
- 5Secure facility permits insurance documentation and other essential operations
- 6Train leadership teams on administrative and operating procedures and ensure accurate records
- 7Prepare reports forms and program materials for leadership review
- 8Provide regular program updates to executive leadership and stakeholders
- 9Build and maintain relationships with schools community organizations and local partners and support outreach
- 10Monitor locations troubleshoot operational challenges and support special projects and events as needed
Requirements10
- 13+ years of experience in program management sports management event coordination recreation nonprofit programming or related field
- 2Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 3Excellent customer service and relationship-building abilities
- 4Strong organizational and time-management skills
- 5Ability to manage multiple priorities locations and deadlines
- 6Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 7Comfortable communicating with staff volunteers parents schools and community partners
- 8Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications
- 9Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- 10Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation and current auto insurance
Salary Insight
$75 - $85k per year
