What You'll Do10

  • 1Build engaging, age-appropriate activities that support whole-child development and social emotional learning.
  • 2Lead and supervise clubs of ~20 participants to ensure consistent engagement and positive behavior.
  • 3Partner with Site Coordinator and staff to plan culminating events and celebrate participant achievements.
  • 4Monitor attendance daily and maintain accurate records for program reporting.
  • 5Request materials timely to adhere to budget guidelines and program plans.
  • 6Collaborate with colleagues to ensure safe field trips and off-site activities.
  • 7Maintain safe, welcoming, and inclusive environments for students, families, and staff.
  • 8Support safety procedures, emergency protocols, trainings, and certifications.
  • 9Attend required professional development sessions totaling ~15 hours across spring weekends and intersession days.
  • 10Foster positive relationships with students, families, and community partners.

Requirements7

  • 1Availability Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
  • 2Experience in expanded learning programs, after-school programs, or youth recreation settings preferred.
  • 3High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Child Development or related field preferred.
  • 4Previous experience with K-12 students in academic, recreational, or youth development settings preferred.
  • 5Ability to work effectively with children and youth; strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • 6Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies and systems.
  • 7Must pass an assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling skills.
