Welder, Flux Core & MIG Fabrication
Overview
You will own the fabrication of finished metal products and welding of skids for metal buildings in a manufacturing environment. Using Flux Core and MIG welding, you will produce components to exact blueprints and schematics. You will work onsite in Houston, Texas as part of a technical team that values precision and quality. This role demands fitting experience and hands-on mastery of welding procedures from day one.
What You'll Do7
- 1Fabricate finished metal products using Flux Core and MIG welding techniques.
- 2Weld skids for metal buildings per engineering drawings and tolerances.
- 3Install and repair equipment and components following blueprints and schematics.
- 4Measure material dimensions and verify calculations to meet product specifications.
- 5Test weld quality and tolerance using inspection tools and procedures.
- 6Set up and operate welding equipment, including wire feeders and gas regulators.
- 7Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work area, following safety protocols.
Requirements7
- 13+ years of welding experience in manufacturing or a related field.
- 2Must know Flux Core and MIG welding processes.
- 3Fitting experience for metal assemblies, including tack-up and alignment.
- 4Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics.
- 5Familiar with welding tools such as grinders, clamps, and measuring devices.
- 6Experience welding skids for metal buildings is a strong plus.
- 7Ability to pass a welding test to verify skill and quality.
