What You'll Do11
- 1Perform MIG welding using .035 hard wire on mild steel components ranging from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch thick
- 2Set up welding machines independently by adjusting amperage and voltage from zero to appropriate settings
- 3Read and interpret blueprints to determine weld locations and symbols
- 4Fit and assemble parts using fixtures ensuring correct alignment and tolerances
- 5Produce clean smooth welds free of sharp edges and defects
- 6Follow established welding procedures and maintain production quality standards
- 7Collaborate with team members in weld and paint shops
- 8Maintain organized work area while adhering to safety protocols
- 9Adapt to changing shift hours and production demands
- 10Work with wire sizes .030 .035 and .045 as required
- 11Ensure compliance with WPS and documented processes

- 1At least 1 year welding experience in manufacturing setting
- 2Proficiency in MIG welding using .035 hard wire on mild steel
- 3Ability to weld thin-gauge steel from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch
- 4Experience with fabricating parts using fixtures for proper alignment
- 5Strong blueprint reading skills including interpretation of dimensions and symbols
- 6Knowledge of GMAW welding processes and symbols
- 7Commitment to producing defect-free welds
- 8Familiarity with tape measurement techniques
- 9Experience with multiple wire sizes including .030 .035 and .045
- 10Exposure to FCAW and stainless welding processes
