Water Resources Engineer, Civil & Environmental Focus in Beaverton
Overview
Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for stormwater, drainage, and floodplain projects across Oregon and SW Washington at Beaverton. Own deliverables from concept through construction support within a collaborative team of engineers, planners, and project managers. Contribute to site visits, field investigations, and multi project priorities while maintaining quality and schedule commitments. This role offers growth toward PE licensure and hands on experience with green infrastructure and low impact development.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build hydrologic and hydraulic models to support infrastructure and land development projects Hydrologic and Hydraulic analyses
- 2Prepare technical reports, drainage studies, and design documentation
- 3Assist with permitting coordination and agency review processes
- 4Support development of construction plans and specifications
- 5Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction phase services
- 6Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions
- 7Manage priorities across multiple projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments
- 8Develop stormwater management solutions balancing regulatory requirements and client objectives
- 9Engage in floodplain analysis and 2D hydraulic modeling as needed
- 10Contribute to green infrastructure and low impact development design across projects
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline
- 2EIT with the ability to obtain PE license in the near term
- 34+ years of experience in water resources, drainage, stormwater, or hydraulic engineering
- 4Experience using industry standard hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools
- 5Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 6Ability to work effectively in both independent and team oriented environments
- 7Floodplain analysis and mapping experience
- 82D hydraulic modeling experience
- 9Familiarity with local and state permitting processes
- 10Experience with Civil 3D, GIS platforms, and related engineering software
