Warehouse Material Handler, Forklift & Safety Focus
Overview
Own inbound and outbound warehouse tasks at scale, coordinating moves, storage, and packing to prepare shipments. Work with forklift operations and handheld scanners in a partner-focused team. This role challenges you to maintain a clean, safe, compliant workspace while supporting production. You’ll join a dependable team at StaffMax in Avon and Indianapolis, with both day and evening shifts available.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely to move inventory
- 2Receive, store, move, and organize inventory using scanners and handheld devices
- 3Pick, pack, label, and prepare customer orders for shipment with attention to accuracy
- 4Verify products and quantities for accuracy to support order fulfillment
- 5Assist in different areas of the warehouse as needed to support production
- 6Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety policies
- 7Follow all company safety policies and procedures to prevent incidents
- 8Perform other warehouse duties as assigned to meet daily goals
- 9Contribute to a collaborative team environment and dependable attendance
- 10Support warehouse team during peak periods by adapting to changing priorities
Requirements10
- 1Previous warehouse experience preferred with a focus on safety
- 2Forklift experience preferred (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or order picker)
- 3Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- 4Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
- 5Comfortable using warehouse scanners or handheld devices
- 6Reliable attendance and a positive attitude
- 7Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks
- 8Comfortable working at heights up to 30 feet when required
- 9High school diploma or GED preferred
- 10Availability for on-site work in Avon, IN and Indianapolis, IN
