What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and maintain standard operating procedures for inbound and outbound shipments and inventory accuracy using a WMS
  • 2Lead daily processes to meet on-time fulfillment targets and partner with the Director of Operations to resolve issues
  • 3Spearhead human capital management including staffing, performance management, compensation where needed, and training to promote a positive employee relations culture
  • 4Enforce Teamster contract compliance and manage confidential salary information with discretion
  • 5Oversee safety practices and housekeeping as a core value across the warehouse team
  • 6Monitor expenses and manage budgets, repair work orders, and equipment requisitions to optimize capital use
  • 7Coordinate scheduling, freight tracking, and carrier resolution to minimize delays
  • 8Drive inventory control from receipt to storage and shipping, leveraging WMS and Vendor Managed Inventory
  • 9Support sales by delivering responsive service and handling service failures and customer concerns
  • 10Engage in cross-functional collaboration to continuously improve operations and customer satisfaction

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience in lieu of degree
  • 23 to 5 years supervisory experience with proven personnel support in a warehouse environment
  • 3Experience with distribution center operations and a willingness to manage a unionized workforce
  • 4Strong communication skills with the ability to model Active Listening and present effectively in groups and one-on-one
  • 5Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency and high personal energy
  • 6Proven integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • 7Comfort with complex decision making and cross-functional collaboration to resolve customer issues
