Warehouse Manager, Power Systems & Manufacturing
Overview
Own warehouse operations for a power systems manufacturer, directing receiving, inventory control, material movement, and shipping at scale. Lead a team to ensure on-time material availability for production schedules and customer deliveries. Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to enable continuous improvement and ISO compliant processes. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency in a hands-on, in-person environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and supervise warehouse operations including receiving, inventory control, warehousing, shipping, and logistics to support production
- 2Coach and develop warehouse staff ensuring a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement
- 3Ensure materials are accurately received, inspected, labeled, stored, and issued according to procedures and inventory control standards
- 4Coordinate material availability with Purchasing and Production Planning to minimize downtime and meet schedules
- 5Maintain cycle counts and inventory reconciliations to preserve accuracy and reliability for production
- 6Oversee shipping to ensure orders are packaged documented and shipped on schedule
- 7Establish and monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy order fulfillment and warehouse productivity
- 8Develop warehouse organization standards to optimize space material flow and efficiency
- 9Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and OSHA safety requirements
- 10Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing for new product introductions changes and material revisions
Requirements10
- 1Minimum of five years of warehouse or inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2Minimum of two years of supervising warehouse personnel
- 3Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as Epicor SAP Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics for inventory and reporting
- 4Strong knowledge of inventory control shipping receiving and material handling best practices
- 5Ability to read BOMs packing lists purchase orders and shipping documents
- 6Valid driver license and ability to operate or obtain certification for material handling equipment
- 7Experience managing cycle counts and achieving high inventory accuracy
- 8Forklift certification or experience operating industrial material handling equipment
- 9Experience with Lean Manufacturing 5S Kaizen or continuous improvement initiatives
- 10Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Operations Management or related field preferred
