What You'll Do8
- 1Direct daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and material movement using Microsoft GP to keep inventory accurate.
- 2Ensure inventory accuracy by leading cycle counts and physical inventories, investigating discrepancies, and correcting ERP records.
- 3Organize warehouse layout to support production schedules and improve material flow with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- 4Supervise, train, and schedule warehouse staff to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets, conducting performance reviews.
- 5Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Planning to align material availability with operational needs, resolving shortages proactively.
- 6Implement process improvements that cut material handling time and reduce errors, using Excel to track performance metrics.
- 7Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized warehouse, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- 8Manage shipping and receiving to ensure on-time deliveries and accurate documentation, escalating issues that affect business performance.
Requirements9
- 15+ years in warehouse, logistics, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
- 22+ years supervising warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- 3Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft GP, for inventory transactions and reporting.
- 4Proven track record in inventory control, cycle counting, and physical inventory processes.
- 5Forklift certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- 6Solid knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and material handling best practices.
- 7Strong problem-solving skills with ability to analyze data using Excel and generate operational reports.
- 8High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in logistics or business preferred.
- 9Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
