Manufacturing Project Manager, HVAC & Fabrication
Overview
You will lead custom HVAC fabrication and assembly projects from initiation to completion at Custom Air Products & Services, a Houston-based leader in industrial and commercial air systems. You will own project scope, budgets, and schedules, coordinating with engineering and production teams to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes. What You'll Do8
- 1Build detailed project schedules with MS Project and own task milestones across fabrication, assembly, and installation phases.
- 2Track project budgets to maintain cost control, forecast variances, and report financial status to leadership.
- 3Coordinate cross-functional teams in engineering, fabrication, and assembly to clear blockers and accelerate delivery.
- 4Monitor performance metrics to identify risks and implement corrective actions that keep projects on schedule.
- 5Manage scope changes by assessing impact on timeline and budget, then communicating adjustments to stakeholders.
- 6Lead project evaluations to capture lessons learned and feed improvements into the next build cycle.
- 7Serve as the primary contact for customers and internal teams, delivering clear status updates and technical decisions.
- 8Verify quality standards and specifications on the shop floor, ensuring compliance with company and safety policies.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of project management experience in HVAC, fabrication, or manufacturing environments.
- 2Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3Strong command of MS Project or similar scheduling tools to manage complex build timelines.
- 4Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- 5Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- 6Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills for manufacturing floor issues.
