Vehicle Inspector, Automotive Services & ADESA Fleet Operations
Overview
Vehicle Inspector at ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, will assess condition, wear, and damage on vehicles for dealers and consumers in a fast moving environment. You will capture data on mobile devices, generate condition reports, and support accurate reconditioning and remarketing efforts. You will collaborate with managers, sales teams, and customers to ensure high quality inspections. This role provides hands-on exposure to a large, multi-location vehicle inventory and a chance to contribute to process improvements.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build accurate condition reports and upload results promptly for each vehicle inspected
- 2Inspect vehicles for wear, neglect, damage, and previous repairs to protect quality and resale value
- 3Capture data on mobile devices and use software to manage inspection results
- 4Deliver timely, consistent inspections with minimal errors per defined program expectations
- 5Collaborate with managers and sales teams to address customer needs and improve service
- 6Maintain equipment and tools and report maintenance issues to management
- 7Ensure vehicles are clean and maintained in the same state as arrival for inspection
- 8Submit completed reports through the provided technology and confirm road test requirements if applicable
- 9Stay current on technology updates and product development related to inspection tools
- 10Perform other duties as assigned by the manager to support operations
Requirements9
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred
- 21 year automotive experience preferred
- 3Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver''s license
- 4Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes and models
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and applications
- 6Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- 7Physical ability to perform required activities with occasional lifting and standing
- 8Strong communication and customer service skills
- 9Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
