Vehicle Inspector, ADESA & Carvana - Automotive Quality & Data Capture
Overview
The Vehicle Inspector will assess vehicle condition at ADESA sites and capture data for each unit, ensuring accurate reporting and professional dealer or consumer interactions. You will operate with a team to uphold quality checks across multiple locations and support a fast-paced remarketing environment. This role stands out through hands-on inspection combined with data entry using mobile tech and collaboration with sales and management to improve service levels.
What You'll Do10
- 1Inspect vehicles for wear, damage, and previous repairs and document findings with images and notes
- 2Capture data on a mobile device and upload condition reports to the system accurately
- 3Interact professionally with dealers and consumers and address inquiries promptly
- 4Submit complete condition reports using company technology and complete any required road tests
- 5Maintain equipment, keep vehicles clean, and ensure standard positioning of features on arrival
- 6Collaborate with Manager and sales team to identify customer needs and improve services
- 7Adhere to defined inspection programs and maintain productivity and accuracy
- 8Stay current on technology updates, tools like OBD scanners and paint meters
- 9Conduct inspections with minimal errors and timely delivery of results
- 10Follow safety practices and contribute to a positive team environment
Requirements10
- 1High School diploma or GED preferred
- 21 year automotive experience preferred
- 3Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver''s license
- 4Ability to safely drive multiple make/model vehicles
- 5Proficiency with computer systems and applications
- 6Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- 7Physical ability for Light to Medium physical work including standing, bending, lifting
- 8Strong customer service and communication skills
- 9Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- 10Team player with attention to detail
