UX Designer, Product & Design Systems in NYC
Overview
UX designer at Big Happy will own end-to-end experiences across a growing suite of products used by diverse teams in campaign lifecycle. You will partner with Product and Engineering to translate complex workflows into intuitive interfaces and drive impact through collaboration. This role emphasizes problem solving, thoughtful questioning, and ongoing evolution of our design system.
What You'll Do10
- 1Translate complex business workflows into intuitive UX and UI solutions to support cross-functional users
- 2Create user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and final designs that align with the Design System
- 3Design polished interfaces that are production-ready and cohesive with the design system across products
- 4Think beyond single screens to deliver seamless end-to-end experiences and iterate from stakeholder feedback
- 5Present design work clearly, explaining decisions and the rationale to Product Managers and Engineers
- 6Contribute to the continued evolution of the Big Happy Design System and introduce new patterns
- 7Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the design process to ensure feasibility and impact
- 8Identify opportunities to improve existing components and propose improvements within the system
- 9Qualitatively test and incorporate usability feedback and stay curious about new design tools and AI-powered workflows
- 10Support accessibility and inclusivity across platforms and devices
Requirements10
- 12–3 years of UX/Product Design experience
- 2Strong UX, interaction, and visual design skills with production-ready interfaces
- 3Experience designing end-to-end user experiences including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes
- 4Comfortable presenting design work and incorporating stakeholder feedback
- 5Experience partnering with Product Managers and Engineers throughout development
- 6Experience designing accessible platforms is a plus
- 7Experience contributing to and designing within a Design System
- 8Proficiency with Figma and familiarity with modern prototyping tools
- 9Curiosity for learning and desire to grow as a designer
- 10Location: NYC + hybrid wfh (3 days per week in office)
Salary Insight
$85 - $105k per year
