Unit Aide, Healthcare Support & Patient Care Logistics
Overview
Own the inventory, transport, and basic patient care tasks within a hospital unit at Banner Health. You will ensure supplies and equipment are stocked, clean, and ready for patient care at a Magnet-recognized facility. Work with a team across clinical and support staff to maintain smooth unit operations. This role offers exposure to electronic medical records, imaging, and cancer center programs in a state-of-the-art environment.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and maintain stocked supply carts and storage areas to support clinical staff
- 2Transport patients, supplies, and records across departments to support timely care
- 3Clean and prepare rooms and equipment for procedures ensuring sterile packaging and proper inventory
- 4Provide basic patient care tasks as directed by supervisor, including patient transport and ambulation
- 5Assist with administrative tasks and greeting patients while supporting back-up for Monitor Techs when trained
- 6Rotate stock, monitor expiration dates, and liaise with technology management for equipment maintenance and repair
- 7Support unit with daily operations in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service
- 8Assist in transport of lab specimens and health records as needed
- 9Ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols
- 10Maintain quality records for equipment and supplies and report issues promptly
Requirements6
- 1Six months of healthcare experience
- 2BLS certification
- 3Excellent organizational and communication skills
- 4Working knowledge of medical terminology
- 5Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- 6High school diploma or GED (preferred)
