Inventory Associate, Healthcare Supply Chain
Overview
You will own daily inventory and PAR-level restocking for a 353-bed acute care hospital, ensuring clinical supplies are always available for patient care. Joining Banner Health's Supply Chain Services team at Banner Estrella Medical Center, you will act as the link between department leadership and the storeroom. What You'll Do7
- 1Take a daily inventory of assigned PAR carts and clinical department supplies, requisitioning and restocking to par levels while rotating stock and maintaining cleanliness per regulatory standards.
- 2Monitor usage and create utilization reports, consulting with clinical supply liaisons to recommend inventory and par level changes.
- 3Assist with procurement of special supply needs and equipment for assigned departments.
- 4Serve as a knowledge resource for clinical staff on supply methods and goods, answering questions and guiding proper usage.
- 5Work independently under regular supervision, making inventory level decisions and following defined procedures.
- 6Interface with vendors, representing the organization's interests during supply discussions.
- 7Support other supply chain functions, including phone requests, code cart replenishments, and incoming deliveries.
Requirements8
- 11+ years of inventory management experience or understanding of inventory tasks.
- 2Proficiency with computer-based inventory management systems and accurate data entry skills.
- 3Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- 4Ability to read and interpret supply requisitions and equipment directions.
- 5Strong customer service skills, demonstrated in a team environment.
- 6High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred.
- 7Previous experience with medical or food supplies and hospital services strongly preferred.
- 8Availability to work evening shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, including every weekend, with Tuesday and Wednesday as regular days off.
