Own patient care activities in a high acuity CVICU setting on the night shift. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapies to support cardiovascular and neuro-respiratory patients. What You'll Do10
- 1Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and mobility
- 2Collect vital signs, input/output, and specimens and document data in the medical record
- 3Recognize and report changes in patient health status to licensed staff
- 4Perform procedures such as blood draws, Foley catheter removal, EKGs under supervision
- 5Provide unit support and clerical tasks to maintain efficient operations
- 6Maintain complete patient records, ensure chart forms are accessible and scanned
- 7Manage supplies and equipment including patient ID scanners and laptops
- 8Assist with transporting patients including pre/post-operative transfers to CVICU
- 9Support OR turnover and post-operative care workflows
- 10Contribute to a collaborative care model among nursing, physicians, and therapies
Requirements5
- 1High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 2Current BLS certification
- 3Current CNA licensure in state of practice (if applicable for new hires)
- 41 year of medical clerical or hospital/physician office experience
- 5Strong organizational, communication, and computer literacy skills
