Certified Patient Care Assistant Neonatal ICU, Night Shift
Overview
Provide routine patient care in a Level III NICU at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center with a focus on neonatal patients. What You'll Do9
- 1Build patient comfort by assisting with activities of daily living and basic hygiene
- 2Collect vital signs and patient data and document in the EMR
- 3Recognize changes in patient health and relay to licensed staff for action
- 4Perform procedures and use equipment under supervision, including blood draws and catheter removal
- 5Support unit operations by handling clerical tasks and coordinating communications with care teams
- 6Maintain complete patient records including admission, transfer, and discharge information and ensure chart accessibility
- 7Monitor supplies and equipment and manage restocking and inventory
- 8Assist with patient transport and turnover in operating room settings as needed
- 9Provide bedside care that supports patient and family needs during night shifts
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED
- 2Current BLS certification
- 3Current CNA/LNA in state of practice
- 41 year of medical clerical experience or hospital/physician office setting
- 5Strong organizational and communication skills
- 6Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy
- 7Ability to work in a fast paced environment with customer service focus
- 8Arizona fingerprint clearance card where applicable
- 9Night shift availability with weekend and holiday rotations
- 10Sign-on bonus contingent on 12 month commitment
