Travel Project Manager, Construction & Data Center Projects
Overview
Own large scale, multi million dollar construction projects from pre construction through closeout. Lead field teams, general contractors, and owners to hit schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets while managing project finances and design coordination. Role requires frequent travel with exposure to data center work in a fast paced construction environment. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution and strong client relationships.
What You'll Do10
- 1Lead field project managers, general contractors, and owners to drive project outcomes and maintain professional relationships
- 2Take ownership for all projects from pre construction through completion
- 3Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules during pre construction
- 4Leverage relationships with contractors and subcontractors to meet timelines and budgets
- 5Review and approve budgets for labor materials and subcontractors and allocate resources
- 6Negotiate draft and execute subcontractor contracts to secure favorable terms
- 7Manage profitability cash flow and cost control across the project
- 8Solve complex schedule budget and constructability issues as an active project team member
- 9Provide guidance to construction crews to support safe efficient high quality work
- 10Coordinate submittals RFIs and change orders and lead design conflict resolution with engineers architects and stakeholders
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of related construction experience
- 2Proven project management experience in construction with multi million dollar projects (minimum 4 years)
- 3Experience managing project schedules budgets and resources from pre construction through completion
- 4Strong leadership and communication skills with owners general contractors subcontractors engineers and architects
- 5Experience with data center construction projects is preferred
- 6Proficiency with construction management tools such as Bluebeam and Procore
- 7Ability to travel frequently and maintain safety standards on site
- 8Experience leading and coordinating change order processes
- 9Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction and building systems
- 10Experience training and mentoring estimating staff on technical project management topics
Salary Insight
$100 - $150k per year
