Territory Service Manager In Training, Facility Maintenance
Overview
You will own maintenance operations across multiple store locations, coordinating with teams and contractors to keep equipment running. Your work ensures safe, efficient facilities and cost control. You'll report to senior management and work with store staff, technicians, and vendors. This role builds your leadership skills through hands-on training and direct responsibility for scheduling, budgeting, and team development.
What You'll Do8
- 1Identify maintenance needs by auditing locations with management and technicians, then prioritize repairs and costs.
- 2Schedule and assign maintenance staff, negotiate with contractors, and follow up on completed work to meet deadlines.
- 3Oversee repair and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment by setting work priorities and coordinating installations.
- 4Control costs by reviewing records and reports, monitoring budget variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- 5Approve and submit weekly billing accurately and on time to ensure vendor payments and cost tracking.
- 6Train and develop employees by setting clear expectations, coaching performance, and providing growth opportunities.
- 7Enforce safety standards and legal regulations to maintain a secure work environment for all staff.
- 8Develop work schedules and verify time submissions to ensure proper staffing and payroll accuracy.
Requirements7
- 13+ years in facility maintenance or related field.
- 2Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- 3Computer literacy in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- 4Strong skills in scheduling, cost management, and contractor negotiation.
- 5Ability to train, coach, and lead team members effectively.
- 6Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- 7Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and handle items of varying weight.
