Telehealth Nurse, Specialty Medication Management
Overview
You will own patient education and care coordination for specialty medication programs in a hybrid role based in Cary, NC. You will guide patients through complex therapies, improve adherence, and collaborate with providers and pharmacy teams. This role blends clinical expertise with patient engagement, offering a chance to impact treatment outcomes directly. You will work onsite twice weekly with a supportive team focused on patient-centered care.
What You'll Do7
- 1Educate new and existing patients on specialty medication therapies, including dosing, administration, and side effects.
- 2Provide ongoing support to promote treatment adherence and address patient concerns.
- 3Conduct scheduled outreach and clinical follow-up to monitor patient progress and outcomes.
- 4Collaborate with healthcare providers, pharmacy teams, and internal staff to ensure continuity of care.
- 5Document clinical interactions accurately and maintain patient records per HIPAA and regulatory standards.
- 6Identify and report adverse events or product complaints according to regulatory requirements.
- 7Support verification of specialty medications and coordinate delivery with pharmacy teams.
Requirements8
- 1Active, unrestricted RN license in a compact state or current North Carolina licensure.
- 2Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or accredited nursing diploma.
- 34+ years of nursing experience, with acute care, inpatient care, or specialty care.
- 4Strong clinical assessment and patient education skills.
- 5Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- 6Proficiency with email, word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based applications.
- 7Ability to interpret clinical guidelines, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- 8Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
