Technology Specialist, Youth Programs & Coding
Overview
owns and delivers technology driven activities for youth at scale within a community club context. works under the Program Director to provide an outcome driven Club experience and ensures safety and equipment maintenance. collaborates with volunteers and supports inclusive, welcoming environments. this role focuses on hands-on coding, robotics, design and other tech driven youth activities.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and run programming in the technology area
- 2Directly manage high yield activities and create a formal curriculum
- 3Facilitate technology focused programming for youth of all ages and skill levels
- 4Plan and coordinate technology showcases and celebrate youth projects
- 5Administer outcome measurement tools and maintain safety and cleanliness
- 6Deliver programs with enthusiasm, positive attitude, and sound judgement
- 7Maintain equipment and adapt to changing needs
- 8Support a inclusive, diverse Club culture
- 9Assist with food program and other duties as assigned
Requirements10
- 1Must be at least 18 years old
- 2High school graduate or G.E.D.
- 3Passion for working with youth
- 4Proficient in Microsoft Suite and comfortable with new technology
- 5Able to multi task and adapt to changing needs
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 7Excellent interpersonal and cooperative working skills
- 8Valid driver’s license if 21 or older
- 9Safety oriented mindset
- 10CPR and First Aid certifications (preferred)
