Program Assistant, C.R.E.A.T.E. Youth Services & Education Support
Overview
Own a frontline role supporting elementary youth in an after-school program scale through tutoring, literacy, SEL, and enrichment activities. You will co-lead groups of students with a 1:15 staff to participant ratio and partner with the Program Coordinator to implement goals from the division strategic plan and grant applications. What You'll Do10

- 2Lead or co-lead groups of youth and manage a 1:15 staff to participant ratio
- 3Coordinate daily tutoring and homework sessions to support academic progress
- 4Develop and deliver literacy geared, physical movement and SEL workshops
- 5Assist in planning lesson plans for enrichment sessions and workshops
- 6Deliver progress updates to families via ClassDojo, phone calls, and approved tools
- 7Coordinate and implement socio-emotional learning activities
- 8Plan and support family engagement events connecting parents to resources
- 9Organize field trips and supervise off-site excursions
- 10Assist with administering pre and post-tests and other evaluation tools
Requirements10
- 1Associate degree in education, counseling, teaching, social work, behavioral science, or related youth development field
- 2At least 3 years of experience working with elementary school aged youth in classroom, after school, or summer program settings
- 3Establish ability to implement a program curriculum
- 4Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- 5Current D Class driver’s license and clean driving record (no more than two points)
- 6Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and populations
- 7Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual learning tools
- 8Preferred Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least 2 years of experience in youth development
- 9Experience using virtual distance learning platforms
- 10Willingness to undergo criminal background checks, FBI fingerprinting, and pre-employment drug screening
