Program Coordinator, C.R.E.A.T.E at UPO
Overview
Program Coordinator role overseeing the elementary out of school time program for K-5 youth, coordinating staff, partnerships, and enrichment activities at UPO's Youth Services Division. You will manage daily site operations, ensure materials, logistics, and safety standards, and lead recruitment and retention efforts. This role partners with division leadership, external funders, and internal stakeholders to meet program outcomes and youth development goals.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build and manage daily site operations, ensuring enrollment, attendance, and documentation are up to date
- 2Design and implement enrichment activities including STEAM and SEL programs and quarterly field trips
- 3Coordinate tutoring with external partners and oversee after-school homework help
- 4Supervise staff and volunteers, conduct performance evaluations, and ensure comprehensive orientation for new hires
- 5Develop and execute recruitment and retention strategies to meet enrollment goals
- 6Coordinate parent workshops and maintain strong communication with families
- 7Lead safety standards implementation and maintain participant files and data for reporting
- 8Manage transportation logistics including operation of 15 passenger vans
- 9Engage with YSD Advisory Council, schools, and community meetings to strengthen partnerships
- 10Collaborate with YSD leadership and funders to achieve program outcomes and compliance
Requirements6
- 1Associates degree in teacher education, human services, sociology, psychology, or related field, and at least 5+ years of experience working with youth in a school setting
- 2Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- 3Must possess a current D Class driver’s license and a clean driving record
- 4Ability to work with diverse backgrounds and contexts
- 5Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills; knowledge of youth development principles and outcomes
- 6Eligible to complete background checks and pre-employment screenings as applicable

$60 - $67k per year
