On-Site Program Coordinator, Before and After School Care
Overview
As an On-Site Program Coordinator at A Child's Place, you will own the daily operations of our before and after school program at Greystone Elementary in the West Chester School District. You will lead a team of support staff, design engaging activities, and manage parent communication for up to 50 children in grades K-5. This part-time role (25 hours per week) offers the chance to shape a positive learning environment within a collaborative school setting.
What You'll Do7
- 1Supervise groups of students during snack time, group activities, and playground time to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- 2Plan and lead daily activities including arts & crafts, STEM projects, and outdoor games.
- 3Submit monthly activity plans, supply lists, and newsletters by assigned due dates.
- 4Communicate consistently and professionally with parents, children, and co-workers to build trust and support open dialogue.
- 5Implement positive discipline and guidance techniques to manage student behavior.
- 6Assist with homework support and monitor individual and group progress.
- 7Maintain a clean and organized classroom, including light duty cleaning and word processing tasks.
Requirements6
- 1High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- 2Associate's Degree or higher in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, or Human Services related field (preferred).
- 32 years (2,500 hours) of documentable experience working with children (required).
- 4Ability to pass all background checks and maintain an employee file per DHS and ACP regulations.
- 5Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and working on the floor with children.
- 6Willing to work outdoors in any weather and have visual and hearing abilities to supervise children safely.
Salary Insight
