Youth Development Specialist, Community Programs & Youth Engagement
Overview
The Youth Development Specialist will design and supervise youth programs at multiple club sites, coordinating activities for youth and teens at scale. This role collaborates with the Program Director and club staff to deliver engaging, safe programming and ensure strong member, family, and community relationships. It offers hands-on experience with program logistics, safety documentation, and youth development best practices in a community organization setting.
What You'll Do6
- 1Build and coordinate arts, gym, and other programming across club locations to engage youth
- 2Manage calendars, lesson plans, pre/post testing, rosters, and participation tracking to ensure program effectiveness
- 3Transport youth between club locations using BGCMP vehicles and ensure safety procedures are followed
- 4Ensure member safety and complete required documentation including incidents and compliance records
- 5Assist with Federal Food program administration and related compliance
- 6Support volunteer program operations and workforce needs to sustain program delivery
Requirements5
- 1Must have a high school diploma or equivalency
- 2Must obtain/maintain CPR, First Aid, and Food Handler’s Certification within first 90 days
- 3Must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license
- 4Must meet knowledge and ability requirements to manage groups and uphold policies
- 5Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, staff, and volunteers and maintain relationships
